Taste of Tippecanoe™ is presented the third Saturday in June each year by the Tippecanoe Arts Federation. The event is held from 4PM until midnight in downtown Lafayette on 2nd, 3rd, 4th, Main and Ferry Streets, the James F. Riehle Depot Plaza, the John Myers Pedestrian Bridge, and into West Lafayette's Tapawingo Park.

Volunteer at the Taste

Volunteers are a very important part of the Taste of Tippecanoe. People are needed to help with several different duties throughout the day from selling and taking tickets, initial setup in the morning, to teardown and clean up during and after the festivities are through.

Background Check - It is the policy of the Tippecanoe Arts Federation that specified volunteers with fiscal management responsibility have their criminal and other background information verified, and Volunteer’s signature below constitutes consent for any such background check. Volunteer agrees to cooperate and provide information necessary to obtain a background check upon request. Volunteer understands that failure to cooperate with volunteer services outlined above or request for background check information may result in Volunteer’s dismissal from the event. 
    
Volunteer Service Affirmation and Waiver: The TASTE of Tippecanoe™ is a nonprofit event which benefits Tippecanoe Arts Federation, Inc. (TAF). Qualified and dedicated Volunteers are critical to the success of the event, and TAF and the organizers for the TASTE of Tippecanoe™ rely upon the thousands of work-hours contributed by Volunteers. As a Volunteer for the TASTE of Tippecanoe™, the undersigned hereby promises to perform the duties asked of him or her to the best of his or her ability. Volunteer understands that he or she is a representative of TAF and the TASTE of Tippecanoe™, and agrees to act with due care and consideration at all times, and to refrain from any activities that would compromise the integrity of the event. As a condition for volunteering for service for the TASTE of Tippecanoe™, Volunteer agrees to indemnify, save and hold harmless TAF and TAF's Governing Board from any and all liability, claims, losses, demands, actions, debts and attorney's fees arising out of, claimed on account of, or in any manner predicated upon such service, including but not limited to loss or damage to the property of, injuries to, and/or death of Volunteer, which may or may not occur in connection to the performance or non-performance of any services, contract or conditions created thereby; or based upon any violation of any statute, ordinance, or regulation by Volunteer or by a third party against the interests of Volunteer. Volunteer understands that he or she is solely responsible for any costs arising out of any injury or damage that Volunteer may sustain through Volunteer’s participation in normal or unusual acts associated with the TASTE of Tippecanoe™, regardless of whose fault may be the cause of Volunteer's injuries or damages, EVEN IF CAUSED BY CARELESSNESS OR NEGLIGENCE, so long as the conduct which caused the injuries or damages was not grossly negligent, or willful and wanton.
